ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਔਸ਼ਧੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗ, ਲੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਸੜ ਕੇ ਸੁਆਹ

ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜਨ ਔਸ਼ਧੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੜਕੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਅੱਗ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਸੜ ਕੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਘਟਨਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੜਕੰਪ ਮਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਫਾਇਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਗੇਡ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ।

ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੇ ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਕਰੀਬ ਸਵਾ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਜੇ ਦੁਕਾਨ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਤੜਕੇ ਕਰੀਬ 4 ਵਜੇ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਮਿਲੀ। ਮੈਨੇਜਰ ਮਯੂਰ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਦੁਕਾਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਧੂੰਆ ਨਿਕਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਭੜਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।

ਫਾਇਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਗੇਡ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੌਛਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗ ‘ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾਇਆ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਦੁਕਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਜਨਰਲ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ, ਰੈਕ, ਫਰਨੀਚਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਮਾਨ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੜ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ।

ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਿਖੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੱਕ ਅੱਗ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੇ ਅਸਲ ਕਾਰਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗ ਸਕਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਇਹ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਗਰੀਬ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਧਵਰਗੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟ ਕੀਮਤ ‘ਤੇ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਅੱਗ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੁਣ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿੰਗੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਖਰੀਦਣੀਆਂ ਪੈ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕੇਂਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਚਾਲੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਲੱਗਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ।

Medicines and other valuables worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in a fire that broke out at the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra located in the government hospital in Rajpura in the early hours of the morning. The incident caused a commotion in the area and the hospital administration had to immediately inform the fire brigade.

According to the information, the manager of the centre had closed the shop at around three and a half hours on Wednesday as usual. The fire was reported around 4 am. When manager Mayur Chaudhary reached the spot, smoke was coming out of the shop and the fire was raging.

The fire brigade team immediately reached the spot and doused the fire with water cannons. However, by then, the general and essential medicines, racks, furniture and other items kept inside the shop had been completely burnt.

The exact cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained till the time of writing this report. The damage is being assessed by the administration and the matter is being investigated.

This centre was a great support of convenience for poor and middle class families, where medicines were available to them at low prices. Due to the fire, patients may now have to buy expensive medicines. It is likely to take a few days to restart the centre.
