ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 28 ਫਰਵਰੀ (ਪੁਸ਼ਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ) — ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਓਲੰਪਿਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫਰੀਦਾਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਹਾਕੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮਿਕਸ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ, ਜਦਕਿ ਸਬ-ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰੋਨਜ਼ ਮੈਡਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਸਰਾ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਭਾਈ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ੇਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਰਮਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੀਬੀ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਖੁਦ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਖਿਡਾਰਨ ਪੂਜਾ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ, ਏਕਮਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਸੀ ਦਾ ਤਮਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਬ-ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਮਿਕਸਡ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰੋਨਜ਼ ਮੈਡਲ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਜਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕਿਰਨਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ, ਪਰਵੀਨ, ਨਿੱਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ (ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਸਰਾ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ) ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮ ਸੁਖ ਸਕੂਲ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਦੀ ਖਿਡਾਰਨ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਚ ਬੀਬੀ ਰਾਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਰਹੀ।
ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ’ਤੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਗਰਮਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

CHANDIGARH, Feb 28 (Pushpendra Singh) The Senior Mixed team of Punjab won the gold medal in the National Hockey Championship organized by Special Olympics India for the first time in Faridabad, while the Sub-Junior team performed brilliantly by winning the bronze medal.
Bhai Shamsher Singh, head of Prabh Asra Sanstha, said that special and normal children of the institute were continuously given special training for this competition. He said that Bibi Rajinder Kaur herself was involved in the daily training and prepared the children.
He said that Pooja won the gold medal, Ekamvir Singh won the bronze medal and Jagjivan won the bronze medal in the sub-junior mixed team.
The children of Amarjit Singh, Kiranvir Kaur, Parveen, Nikki and Sukhpreet Singh (Prabh Asra Kurali) and Amandeep Kaur, a player of Atma Sukh School, Hoshiarpur, played an important role in this victory. Coaches Bibi Rajinder Kaur, Darshan Singh, Simran Kaur and Pawan Singh were instrumental in the team’s success.
