ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਡੀਐਸਪੀ ਹਰਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਘਨੌਰ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਰੁਣ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ (IPS) ਅਤੇ ਐਸਪੀ ਗੁਰਬੰਸ ਬੈਂਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੰਭੂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਾਈਟੈਕ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦੋ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ 2 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਅਫੀਮ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਸ਼ੰਭੂ ਬਾਰਡਰ ‘ਤੇ ਐਸਐਚਓ ਸਵਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਬੈਗ ਸਮੇਤ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਦਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਏ।
ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ 2 ਕਿਲੋ ਅਫੀਮ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਹੋਈ। ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਏ ਯਾਦਵ ਉਰਫ਼ ਭੋਲਾ ਰਾਏ ਯਾਦਵ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨਾਮਤੀ ਦੇਵੀ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਾਸੀ ਨੇਪਾਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ NDPS ਐਕਟ ਹੇਠ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਗਲੀ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਡੀਐਸਪੀ ਹਰਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਘਨੌਰ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਰੰਭਿਕ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਬੱਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਸਚੇਤਤਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਾਬੂ ਆ ਗਏ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੇ ਲਿੰਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਹਿਰਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਾਰਡਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਈਟੈਕ ਨਾਕੇ ਲਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ‘ਤੇ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

CHANDIGARH: The Patiala Police has achieved another major success in the ongoing campaign against drugs and gangsters by the Punjab government.
This was disclosed by DSP Harmanpreet Singh Ghanaur. He said that on the directions of SSP Patiala Varun Sharma (IPS) and SP Gurbans Bains, police arrested two suspects during a hi-tech blockade and recovered 2 kg of opium from them.
According to the police, a man and a woman were seen walking in a suspicious condition along with a bag during a checking led by SHO Swaran Singh at the Shambhu border.
During the search, 2 kg of opium was recovered from the duo. The arrested accused have been identified as Ram Rai Yadav alias Bhola Rai Yadav and Sonamati Devi, both residents of Nepal.
A case under NDPS Act has been registered at Shambhu police station and both the accused have been produced before the court and further interrogation is being carried out by the police after obtaining remand.
According to DSP Harmanpreet Singh Ghanaur, preliminary investigations revealed that the two accused had come by bus and were trying to escape through the fields to avoid the checkpoint, but were nabbed due to police alertness.
He also said that during the remand, the links linked to drug smuggling would be thoroughly investigated.
The police have issued a stern warning that hi-tech nakas have been set up at all the borders of Patiala district and every activity is being monitored. No one involved in drug trafficking will be spared.
