ਰੂਪਨਗਰ, 19 ਫਰਵਰੀ: ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਪੂਲਰ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਚੰਗੀ ਆਮਦਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਜ਼ਰੀਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਭਗ ਰੁਪਏ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਏਕੜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਆਮਦਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੂਟਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਵਾਧੇ ਲਈ ਬੂਟੇ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਪਨੀਰੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਸ੍ਰੋਤ ਤੋਂ ਲੈਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।

ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ.-ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਰੋਪੜ ਵਿਖੇ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਵਧੀਆ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਪੂਲਰ ਦੀ ਪਨੀਰੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਪਲੱਬਧ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਪਨੀਰੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਕੇ.ਵੀ.ਕੇ. ਰੋਪੜ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਗਰੀਕਲਚਰਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਈ.ਸੀ.ਏ.ਆਰ. ਅਟਾਰੀ, ਜ਼ੋਨ-1 ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਪਾਪੂਲਰ ਦੀ ਪਨੀਰੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਨ ਦਾ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੋਰਸ 12 ਤੋਂ 18 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2026 ਤੱਕ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।

ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ (ਵਣਖੇਤੀ) ਡਾ. ਅੰਕੁਰਦੀਪ ਪ੍ਰੀਤੀ ਨੇ ਪਾਪੂਲਰ, ਸਫੈਦਾ, ਡੇਕ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਨੀਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਸ਼ਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਸਮਾਪਤੀ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਹਿਯੋਗੀ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ (ਸਿਖਲਾਈ) ਕੇ.ਵੀ.ਕੇ. ਰੋਪੜ ਡਾ. ਸਤਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰੋਪੜ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੇ.ਵੀ.ਕੇ. ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਫਾਰਸ਼ ਕਲੋਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਨੀਰੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਰੀ ਅੱਜ-ਕਲ ਪੂਰੇ ਜ਼ੋਰਾ ਤੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਡਾ. ਸਤਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਦਾ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਪੁਰਜੋਰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।

Conclusion of Popular Seedling Production Training Course at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ropar

Rupnagar, Feb 19: The popular tree in Rupnagar district is a very good source of income which fetchs an income of about Rs 1 lakh per acre per year. Obtaining healthy seedlings from a good source is very important for the good growth of plants in the field.

Every year at PAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ropar, good varieties of popular seedlings are available to the farmers and training is also imparted to prepare good seedlings.

Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and ICAR at KVK Ropar. Under the leadership of Attari, Zone-1 Ludhiana, a training course on seedling production of Popular was conducted from 12th to 18th February 2026.

Assistant Professor (Forestry) Dr. Ankurdeep Preeti shared detailed information on seedling and cultivation of Poplar, Eucalyptus, Deck and other trees.

During the valedictory function, Associate Director (Training) KVK Ropar Dr. Dr. Satbir Singh said that keeping in view the interest of the farmers of Ropar district, KVKs have been set up. The seedlings of PAU recommended clones are being prepared by the PAU and the sale of which is going on in full swing these days. Dr. Satvir Singh appealed to the farmers of the district to take advantage of this opportunity.
