ਅੱਜ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਨਗਰ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਹਲਕਾ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਹਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਦੇ 25 ਵਾਰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ 258 ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਚੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਪੱਕੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੁੱਲ 6 ਕਰੋੜ 45 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ।

ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਮਨੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਗਰ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਕਾਨ ਪੱਕੇ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੀ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਸੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਅੱਜ 258 ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪੱਤਰ ਸੌਂਪੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਅਧੀਨ ਹਰ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ 2.5 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਤਿੰਨ ਕਿਸ਼ਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਚੇ ਮਕਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕੇ ਮਕਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ।

ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਇਕ-ਇਕ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਾਧਕ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਕੰਵਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਾਬਕਾ ਨਗਰ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੇੜਾ, ਨਵਰੂਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧਾਵਾਲੀਆ, ਸਰਬਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਾਰੋਵਾਲ, ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ, ਯਾਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਯਾਦੂ, ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਲਾਲੀ, ਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਮੱਲ੍ਹੀ, ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅੰਜੂ ਵਰਮਾ, ਤਿਲਕ ਰਾਜ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।

Tarn Taran Municipal Council MLA Harmeet Singh Sandhu today distributed sanction letters worth Rs 6.45 crore to 258 families living in 25 wards of Tarn Taran for consolidation of kutcha houses.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Sandhu said that during the by-elections, it was promised to the people that the families who had applied for consolidation of their houses in the Municipal Council would be issued sanction letters on priority basis as soon as the model code of conduct ends. Fulfilling this promise, these letters have been handed over to 258 families today.

He informed that under this scheme, each beneficiary will be given Rs 2.5 lakh in three instalments so that they can convert their kutcha houses into pucca houses.

The MLA said that the development works in the Tarn Taran constituency were being carried out on priority basis and the promises made during the elections were being fulfilled one by one.

On this occasion, Executive Officer Kanwaljit Singh, former Municipal Council President Bhupinder Singh Khera, Navroop Singh Sandhawalia, Sarabjinder Singh Bharowal, Sarabjit Singh Bhullar, Yadwinder Singh Yadav, Sarabjit Singh Lali, Savinder Malhi, Baljinder Singh, Anju Verma, Tilak Raj and others were present.
