ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ, ਕਿਹਾ—ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ

ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਏ ਕਤਲ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਲਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਡੀ.ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਐਲ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ 2 ਮੁੱਖ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਕੁੱਲ 5 ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਤਰਨ ਤਾਰਨ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਂਬਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਿਤੀ 18 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਰਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਨੰਬਰ 25 ਧਾਰਾ 103, 109, 3(5) BNS ਅਤੇ 25/27/54/59 ਆਰਮਜ਼ ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਕਰਤਾ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਠੱਠੀਆ ਮਹੰਤਾ ਨੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ (ਉਮਰ ਕਰੀਬ 38 ਸਾਲ) ਉੱਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਕਰੀਬ 3:30 ਵਜੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
ਐਸ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਸਬੂਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ’ਤੇ 2 ਮੁੱਖ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ 5 ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਤ ਹੋਰ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਗ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

Tarn Taran, Feb 26 (Navdeep shanty):
The Tarn Taran police and DCIL team have achieved a major breakthrough in solving a murder case in Tarn Taran district. Police have arrested a total of 5 more persons including 2 main accused in the case.
Disclosing this at a press conference, SSP Tarn Taran Surinder Lamba said that on February 18, 2026, a case number 25 was registered at Police Station Sarhali under Sections 103, 109, 3(5) BNS and 25/27/54/59 Arms Act.
The complainant, Harpreet Singh, a resident of Thathia Mahanta, had given a statement that his brother Harwinder Singh (aged around 38 years) was attacked by some persons at around 3.30 pm, due to which he died.
The SSP said that in view of the gravity of the case, an investigation was immediately initiated by the police. On the basis of technical evidence and intelligence information, 2 main accused and 5 of their accomplices have been arrested.
He added that the interrogation of the arrested accused is underway and other aspects related to the case are also being investigated. Those disturbing law and order will not be spared under any circumstances.
