21 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2024 ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ-2 ਦੌਰਾਨ ਖਨੌਰੀ ਬਾਰਡਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਏ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੱਲੋ ਦੀ ਦੂਜੀ ਬਰਸੀ ਮੌਕੇ ਕੇ.ਐੱਮ.ਐੱਮ. (ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਭਾਰਤ) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।

ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਰਾਜਾਂ — ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ, ਬਿਹਾਰ, ਮੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼, ਕੇਰਲ, ਤਮਿਲਨਾਡੂ, ਕਾਰੈਕਾਲ (ਪੁਡੁੱਚੇਰੀ), ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ, ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ — ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ, ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਨਿਛਾਵਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀਆਂ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।

ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲਣ ਦੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਅਪਣਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਜ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕੇਸਾਂ ‘ਚ ਕੋਈ ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਅਗਲੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ-ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਮਝੌਤਿਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਦੇਸੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਮਦਨ ‘ਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੇਤੀ ਸੈਕਟਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਦਾਵਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਦੇਸੀ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੋਧ ਬਿੱਲ, ਬੀਜ ਐਕਟ 2025, ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ-1 ਅਤੇ 2 ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਅੰਦੋਲਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਮਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਟੁੱਟਿਆ।

ਇੱਕੱਠਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਅਹਿਦ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ-ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਲਹਿਰ ਰੁਕਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

On the second death anniversary of young farmer martyr Shubhkaran Singh Ballo, who was killed on 21 February 2024 at the Khanauri border during Delhi Farmers’ Protest-2, nationwide tribute programs were organized by the KMM (Kisan Mazdoor Morcha Bharat).

Leaders stated that across several states of India — including Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karaikal (Puducherry), Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana and Punjab — lakhs of farmers, laborers, and women gathered to pay homage to Shubhkaran Singh and all those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for rights.

Leaders alleged that the central government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party has adopted policies that suppress people’s rights, while in Punjab as well, no concrete action has been taken in the police cases registered regarding Shubhkaran Singh’s death.

They said that remembering the martyr’s sacrifice, there is a need to intensify the farmers’ movement, as the central government is allegedly denying the rights of farmers and laborers and implementing international agreements in the agricultural sector that harm domestic farmers. Leaders further alleged that opening markets to foreign agricultural products is adversely affecting the income of Indian farmers.

They also stated that despite claims by the government led by Narendra Modi to protect the agricultural sector, decisions are being taken that impact prices of domestic crops. Measures such as the Electricity Amendment Bill, Seed Act 2025, changes in labor laws, and other policies were also described as anti-people.

Recalling the sacrifices made during Delhi Protest-1 and 2, leaders said these martyrdoms will not go in vain. They alleged that various methods were used to suppress the movement, but the morale of the people remained unbroken.

At the gatherings, participants pledged to continue the struggle for the rights of farmers and laborers and vowed that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not be allowed to go in vain. Leaders asserted that attempts to crush the movement would only make it stronger rather than weaken it.
