ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਮੌਸਮੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਏ ਭਾਰੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਖਪਤਕਾਰ ਮਾਮਲੇ, ਖੁਰਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਤਕ ਵੰਡ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਅਨਾਜ ਮੰਡੀ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਟੀਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸੈਂਪਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਲੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਲਏ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਲਹਾਲ, ਇਸ ਦੌਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਹਤ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਜਗੀ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਚੁੱਪੀ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਨਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ ਖੜੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।

In view of the heavy crop losses suffered by farmers due to unseasonal rains in Punjab, a central team from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, visited the Rajpura grain market today.
During the visit, the team inspected the affected wheat crop in the mandi and collected samples from various locations. These samples will be sent for laboratory testing to assess the actual extent of the damage. The officials also interacted with farmers to understand the issues they are facing.
However, a significant point that emerged during the visit was that the central team did not share any information with the media. Despite repeated queries from journalists regarding the purpose of the visit and the instructions received from the government, the officials declined to comment.
This attitude has raised several questions within the media. Journalists present at the spot felt that the officials were either under pressure or reluctant to disclose important information. This led to a situation of uncertainty among both the media and farmers, as the actual purpose behind the team’s visit remained unclear.
The issue has already created political tension in Punjab. The state government has been accusing the central government of discrimination, while the Centre has been sending teams to assess the situation.
