ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 7 ਮਈ (ਪੁਸ਼ਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ): ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਗੂ ਪਰਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਰੂੜਾ ਨੇ ‘ਆਪ’ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹਲਕਾ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੇੜਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਪਰਦੀਪ ਰੂੜਾ ਦਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਹਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਿਜਰਾਬਾਦ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਆਗੂ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।

Chandigarh, May 7 (Pushpinder Singh Kurali): Former councillor and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Pradeep Kumar Rooda has left the AAP and officially joined the Shiromani Akali Dal. He joined the party under the leadership of constituency in-charge Ravinder Singh Kheda and was welcomed by party president Sukhbir Singh Badal.
It is noteworthy that Pradeep Rooda had earlier served as the urban president of the Akali Dal. Around three years ago, he had joined the Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of MLA Anmol Gagan Mann, but has now made his return to the Akali Dal.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep Rooda said that AAP’s policies and Delhi’s interference are not in the interest of Punjab and Punjabis. Keeping this in view, he decided to rejoin a regional party.
Constituency in-charge Ravinder Singh Kheda said that Pradeep Rooda’s joining would strengthen the Akali Dal not only in the city but across the entire constituency.
Meanwhile, Sukhbir Singh Badal welcomed Pradeep Rooda and said that the Akali Dal has always respected leaders who work dedicatedly for the party. He said that Pradeep Rooda had contributed significantly to the party in the past and added that the Akali Dal is the only regional party capable of strongly safeguarding the interests of Punjab and Punjabis.
He further said that this is the reason why people across Punjab are increasingly joining the Akali Dal. On this occasion, Hardeep Singh Khizrabad and several other party leaders were also present.
