ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ : ਜੀਤੀ ਪਡਿਆਲਾ

ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ, 15 ਮਾਰਚ (ਪੁਸ਼ਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ): ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀਤੀ ਪਡਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਖਰੜ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਗਗਨ ਮਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ’ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਸਹੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੀ.ਆਰ.ਪੀ. ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਮੀਡੀਆ ਜਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਜਨਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀਤੀ ਪਡਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਗਗਨ ਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਖਰੜ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਸਕੇ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਤਕ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਨ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਨਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਸੰਵਾਦ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ।

Nagar, March 15, (ਪੁਸ਼ਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ): Former President of District Congress Committee Mohali Ranjit Singh Jiti Padiala has reacted to the remarks made by Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Mann on social media and said that the purpose of journalism in a democracy is to bring out the truth and to convey correct information to the people.

He said that the media’s queries were answered by TRPs. It’s not okay to associate with it. The media serves to raise the issues of the people and the voice of the people and every public representative should answer the questions of the media.

Ranjit Singh Jiti Padiala said that MLA Anmol Gagan Mann should give detailed information to the people about the development works done by his government in Kharar constituency so that the people could know about the progress made in the area in the recent past.

He said that accountability of public representatives is very important in a democracy and people have every right to know about the working of their elected leaders.
