ਐੱਸ.ਏ.ਐੱਸ. ਨਗਰ, 23 ਫਰਵਰੀ (ਪੁਸ਼ਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ) — ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਚੋਰੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਟਰੇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਰੀਬ ₹7 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਗਦੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ (ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ.) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਹਾਂਸ, ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ. ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ (ਦਿਹਾਤੀ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪੀ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ. ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਉਪ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਬ-ਡਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਮੁੱਲਾਂਪੁਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪੀ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ. ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ (ਮੁੱਖ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਿਟੀ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ) ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ 21 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ ਰੋਡ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਦੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਜਹਾਗੀਰ ਅਹਿਮਦ (ਮੂਲ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਕੁਪਵਾੜਾ, ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ) ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਰੀਬ ₹7.50 ਲੱਖ ਦੀ ਨਗਦੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਪੀੜਤ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣ ‘ਤੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਤਾਲਾ ਟੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੇ ਬੈਗ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਗਾਇਬ ਸਨ।

ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਤਿੰਨ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਸੀ.ਸੀ.ਟੀ.ਵੀ. ਕੈਮਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ, ਖੁਫੀਆ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਹੀ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਰਦਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਟਰੇਸ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

ਦੌਰਾਨ ਤਫ਼ਤੀਸ਼ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਆਮਿਰ ਨਬੀ ਡਾਰ (ਵਾਸੀ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਕੁਪਵਾੜਾ, ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ, ਹਾਲ ਵਾਸੀ ਕੁਰਾਲੀ) ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਰੀਬ ₹7 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਹੋਰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।

ਐਸ.ਐਚ.ਓ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਮਤ ‘ਤੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਥਮਿਕਤਾ ਹੈ।
