ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਐੱਸ.ਏ.ਐੱਸ.ਨਗਰ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਹਾਂਸ, ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਵਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਹਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੇਫ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਾਹਨ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਉਪ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ, ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ, ਕਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ 25 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਮਰਿਆਂ, ਫਾਇਰ ਸਿਲੰਡਰ, ਫਸਟ ਏਡ ਬਾਕਸ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਮੀਆਂ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਬਣਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਇਸ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਰਾਈਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਾ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਡੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨੇ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਰਤਾਲਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਬੱਸ ਦਾ ਡਰਾਈਵਰ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਸ ਨੂੰ ਓਵਰ ਸਪੀਡ ਜਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਸਾਈਡ ਤੇ ਚਲਾਉਦਾਂ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਜਾ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦਿਓ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਅਣਸੁਖਾਵੀਂ ਘਟਨਾ ਨਾ ਵਾਪਰ ਸਕੇ।

Traffic police checked school buses at various places in the district

During the checking, the drivers were instructed not to drive the school buses beyond the prescribed speed

Under the directions given by Senior Superintendent of Police, District SAS Nagar, Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans, Superintendent of Police Traffic, Mr. Navneet Singh Mahal under the Safe School Vehicle Policy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Karnail Singh checked the school buses at various places in the district on February 25. During the checking, cameras, fire cylinders, first aid boxes, etc. in the school buses were checked. During the inspection, appropriate action was taken against the school buses which were found to be faulty.
The main objective of this checking was to ensure the safety of school children by educating the drivers of school buses about traffic rules. During the checking, the drivers of the school buses were instructed not to run the school buses beyond the prescribed speed.
During the checking of school buses, DSP Traffic while interacting with the school children said that if the driver of your bus is driving the school bus at an overspeed or wrong side, then you should inform the principal or senior teachers of the school in this regard so that no untoward incident can take place in the future.
