ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਬਿਨਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ‘ਸਾਡੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਨ’ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਸਟੇਟ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਪਲਾਨ 2025-26 ਤਹਿਤ ਅੱਜ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ (ਮੋਹਾਲੀ) ਵਿਖੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਮੇਨਟੇਨੈਂਸ ਐਂਡ ਵੈਲਫੇਅਰ ਆਫ ਪੇਰੈਂਟਸ ਐਂਡ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸਿਟੀਜ਼ਨਜ਼ ਐਕਟ, 2007’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਤੇ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਖਰਤਾ’ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ, ਨਵਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਰੇਖ ਹੇਠ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਆਰਤੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਜੀਵ ਮੁੰਗਾ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਬੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ, ਭਰਨ-ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਵਧਾਨਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਈਬਰ ਧੋਖਾਧੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਅ ਲਈ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਹਿਮ ਕਵਚ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰਪੂਰਵਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਆਂਗਣਵਾੜੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ, ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ./ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ. ਕੈਡਿਟਾਂ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਚਾਇਤ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਬੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਸੰਭਾਲ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ। ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਲੈਣ-ਦੇਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਵਧਾਨੀਆਂ, ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਠੱਗੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਅ ਦੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਖਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਢਲੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣ ਸਕਣ।

Awareness Seminar on Rights of Senior Citizens and Digital Security under ‘Hamari Bereaved Sada Maan’ in Mohali

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Cabinet Minister Dr. CHANDIGARH: A one-day awareness seminar on ‘Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007’ and ‘Digital and Financial Literacy’ was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here today at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) under the State Action Plan 2025-26 of the ongoing ‘Amare Buzurg Sada Maan’ campaign. Advocate Arti Sharma and Mr. Sanjeev Munga were the keynote speakers at the event held under the supervision of District Social Security Officer, Navdeep Kaur. He shared detailed information about the legal rights of the elderly, legal provisions for maintenance, and the crucial envelope of digital security to protect against cyber frauds.
A large number of anganwadi workers, NSS/NCC cadets from schools were present on the occasion. Addressing the cadets, police personnel and panchayat members, the speakers emphasized that the care of the elderly is not only a social but also a moral and legal responsibility. He appealed to all to make concerted efforts to ensure the protection and respect of the rights of the elderly in the society. During the seminar, participants were also made aware of the precautions during digital transactions, ways to avoid online fraud, and basic principles of financial literacy, so that the elderly and their families become safe and strong.
