ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ (25 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ) — ਮੰਡੀ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਆਗਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪੱਲੇਦਾਰ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਇਕਜੁੱਟਤਾ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਈ ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਪੱਲੇਦਾਰ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਜੌਲੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਸਾਲ 1985 ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ 10–15 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੁਝ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਮੁੜ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਕਜੁੱਟਤਾ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਹੈ।
ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੰਡੀ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਦੋਬਸਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਰੁਕਾਵਟ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਲੇਬਰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਡਿੰਗ, ਅਨਲੋਡਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੰਮ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਭਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਠੇਕੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੰਮ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਈਪੀਐਫ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਰਕਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਠੇਕੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢਾ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਨੀਨਾ ਮਿੱਤਲ ਅਤੇ ਘਨੌਰ ਹਲਕੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਗੁਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਡਿਪੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਡਿਪੋਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੰਡੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਿਤ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਿਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।

Rajpura, Feb 25 (Sushil Kumar) Ahead of the arrival of the mandi season, the workers have once again given a strong message of solidarity. During an important meeting held at Rajpura, the Punjab Pradesh Palledar Mazdoor Union announced to reinvigorate the organisation and assured to continue the struggle for labour rights.
District president Mohan Singh Majuli said that the union was established in 1985 but in the last 10-15 years, the organisation had weakened due to some reasons. Now, with the encouragement and cooperation of the workers, the union has been reactivated. He said that the solidarity of the workers is the biggest strength.
Union president Raj Kumar said all arrangements are being made for the upcoming mandi season so that there is no disruption in government work. He informed that the labour associated with the union is performing loading, unloading and other work in various government agencies honestly.
He appealed to the contractors to give maximum work to the union and deposit the workers’ EPF on time and with full amount.
During the meeting, special thanks were extended to President Davinder Ji, who said that he stands shoulder to shoulder with the workers and contractors in the Mandi and plays an important role in solving every problem.
The union leaders also thanked Rajpura MLA Neena Mittal and Ghanaur MLA Gurdial Singh for their support from time to time in resolving the problems of the workers.
The leaders said that Rajpura depot has been among the best depots in Punjab in the past and the union is aiming to ensure smooth functioning of the market
