ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ (ਚੜੂਨੀ) ਦਾ ਤਿੱਖਾ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ

ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ, 27 ਫਰਵਰੀ (ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ) – ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ (ਚੜੂਨੀ) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਫੁਆਰਾ ਚੌਕ ‘ਚ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਨਾਰੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੁਤਲਾ ਸਾੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੋਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ। ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਟਦੇ ਭਾਅ, ਵਧ ਰਹੇ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਦੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਗਾਰੰਟੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸੰਕਟ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਜਲਦ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ. ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਦਰਜਾ ਦੇਣ, ਕਰਜ਼ ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਜਬ ਭਾਅ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਦੁਹਰਾਈ।
ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੰਨ ਹੋਇਆ।

The Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chaduni) today staged a protest at Fountain Chowk in Rajpura against the anti-farmer policies of the central government. The programme was organized under the leadership of the union’s Punjab president Amarinder Singh, in which a large number of farmers participated.

During the protest, the farmers burnt an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and raised slogans against the central government. Addressing the gathering, the leaders said that the rising prices of crops, rising debt and MSP are some of the reasons for the situation. In the absence of a legal guarantee, farmers are facing an economic crisis.

Punjab president Amarinder Singh said the agitation would be intensified if the government did not act on the demands of the farmers soon. They are MSP. He reiterated his demand for legal status, loan waiver and ensuring fair prices for crops.
Security arrangements were made by the police administration at the spot and the protest ended peacefully.
