ਪਟਿਆਲਾ — ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਟੋਲ ਪਲਾਜ਼ਾ ਧਨੇਰੀ ਜੱਟਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤੀਬਰ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਵੀ ਲਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਣਚਾਹੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਨ-ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹੇ।

Patiala: Keeping in view the security of the city, the Patiala Police is continuously conducting checking drives. Under this, the police conducted a strict blockade near the toll plaza Dhaneri Jats in Patiala and intensified checks of vehicles from other states entering the city.
During the checking, the police checked the documents of the vehicles and also intercepted and searched the suspicious vehicles. The persons occupying the vehicles were also identified.
Police officials said that the checking operation is being carried out to maintain law and order in the city and to further strengthen the security arrangements so that any untoward incident can be prevented beforehand.
He said that such checking operations would continue in the coming days as well, so that an atmosphere of peace and security could be maintained in Patiala city.
