ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ, 12 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ (ਰਿਪੋਰਟਰ: ਕਰਨੈਲ ਜੀਤ) – ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਮਨਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ (IPS) ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਰਤੀ ਅੰਸਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਨਕੇਲ ਕਸਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ASI ਮਲਕੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ASI ਧੰਨਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੁੱਲ 53 ਚਲਾਨ ਕੱਟੇ ਗਏ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਂਗ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਦੇ 21, ਕਾਲੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਦੇ 6, ਬਿਨਾਂ ਨੰਬਰ ਪਲੇਟ ਦੇ 15, ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਵਰਤਣ ਦਾ 1, ਪ੍ਰੈਸ਼ਰ ਹਾਰਨ ਦੇ 2, ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੈਲਮਟ ਦੇ 3 ਅਤੇ ਰੌਂਗ ਸਾਈਡ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦੇ 5 ਚਲਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।
ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਡਰਾਈਵਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਵਰਤਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਦਸਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਖਤਰਾ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬੁਲੇਟ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ, ਬਿਨਾਂ ਨੰਬਰ ਪਲੇਟ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਬਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ASI ਮਲਕੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕਾਫੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਬੱਸ ਅੱਡੇ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਕਲੋਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਬੁਲੇਟ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੇਜ਼ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਪਟਾਕੇ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਹਗੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਹ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚਲਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਟਰੈਫਿਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਮ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੜਕਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਗਲਤ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਹਨ ਪਾਰਕ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇ।

Morinda, April 12 (Reporter: Karnail Jeet) – The traffic police took strict action against those violating traffic rules in the city. This drive was carried out under the directions of SSP Rupnagar, Maninder Singh (IPS), as part of a special campaign aimed at improving the traffic system and tightening control over miscreants.
During the operation led by Traffic In-charge ASI Malkiat Singh and ASI Dhanna Singh, a total of 53 challans were issued. These included 21 for wrong parking, 6 for black films, 15 for vehicles without number plates, 1 for using a mobile phone while driving, 2 for pressure horns, 3 for not wearing helmets, and 5 for driving on the wrong side.
Traffic officials stated that using a mobile phone while driving is extremely dangerous and increases the risk of accidents.
They also issued a strict warning to those riding Bullet motorcycles with loud modified exhausts, as well as to drivers of vehicles without number plates and with black films, stating that their vehicles would be impounded if they fail to follow the rules.
ASI Malkiat Singh said that for quite some time, complaints had been received from the public that some youths were riding Bullet motorcycles at high speed near the bus stand and in residential colonies, creating loud noises and causing inconvenience to pedestrians and residents. Keeping these complaints in mind, this special campaign was launched.
The traffic police have appealed to the general public not to park vehicles improperly on roads and to follow traffic rules, so that smooth traffic movement can be maintained in the city.
