ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ 26 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਮਿਉਂਸੀਪਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ । ਪਾਰਟੀ ਨੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਬੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਮਿਲਣਗੇ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਡਰ ਜਾਂ ਪੱਖਪਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਫਰਜ਼ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਉਲਟੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਉਂਸੀਪਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਉਸਦੇ ਤਾਬੂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਰੀ ਕਿੱਲ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।

Punjab Congress has welcomed the announcement of municipal elections scheduled for May 26 and expressed confidence that the party will secure impressive results across the state.
In a statement issued here, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said that the party welcomes the announcement of local body elections by the Punjab State Election Commission. He said the party is fully confident that voters across Punjab will vote in favor of Congress this time.
Appealing to the Election Commission, he said the elections should be conducted in a completely free, fair, and transparent manner. He alleged that during previous local body elections, the local administration and police had worked in favor of the ruling party, raising serious questions over the fairness of the election process.
Raja Warring said that less than nine months are left for the 2026 Assembly elections and it is certain that Congress will form the government in the state. He warned that any officer found showing bias or indulging in high-handedness would not be spared.
He advised all police and administrative officers to perform their duties honestly and sincerely without fear or favoritism. He added that the countdown for the present government has already begun and the municipal elections would prove to be the final nail in its coffin.
