ਭਾਖੜਾ ਬਿਆਸ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੇ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀ ਬੀਬੀਐਮਬੀ ਵਰਕਰਜ਼ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ (ਰਜਿ. ਨੰਬਰ 33) ਨੰਗਲ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰੋਪੜ ਦਾ ਚੋਣ ਇਜਲਾਸ ਕੀਰਤਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੈਮਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੜੀ, ਜਸਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮੁਲਾਗਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਮਾਣੋਂ, ਪੁਨਮ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ਼ਾ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਹੇਠ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਇਜਲਾਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡੀਐਮਐਫ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਮੁਲਾਗਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਮਾਣੋਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਜਲਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਬੀਐਮਬੀ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਆਲੋਚਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਲਾਠੀਚਾਰਜ ਦੀ ਕੜੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਤੇ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ 37 ਲੇਬਰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਚਾਰ ਲੇਬਰ ਕੋਡਾਂ, ਬਿਜਲੀ ਐਕਟ 2025, ਮਨਰੇਗਾ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਧਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨਿਕ ਤੇ ਜਮਹੂਰੀ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਾਟੇ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਇਜਲਾਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਰਬਸੰਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਮ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਦਿਆਨੰਦ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰਸਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਖਜਾਨਚੀ, ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਜਥੇਬੰਦਕ ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਸਿਕੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੈੱਸ ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਮੰਗਤ ਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਨਾਨਕ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਗੁਰਦਿਆਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਰਾਮ ਸੁਮੇਰ, ਬਲਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹੇਮਰਾਜ, ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਚਰਨ ਲਾਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।

The election meeting of BBMB Workers’ Union (Regd. No. 33), Nangal, District Ropar — an employees’ organization of the Bhakra Beas Management Board — was held at Kirathpur Sahib under the chairmanship of Jaimal Singh Bhadi, Jaswant Singh, Mulagar Singh Khamanon, Poonam Sharma, and Asha Joshi.
Sharing information with the press, DMF leader Mulagar Singh Khamanon said that employees participated in the meeting in large numbers along with their families. Addressing the gathering, various speakers criticized the anti-employee policies of the Central Government and BBMB management, and called for strengthening the organization and continuing the struggle for workers’ rights.
During the meeting, strong resolutions were passed condemning the lathi-charge on farmers in Bathinda. The gathering also denounced the four labour codes formed after replacing 37 labour laws, the Electricity Act 2025, amendments to the MGNREGA Act, and what they termed the erosion of constitutional and democratic rights.
During the session, Ram Kumar was unanimously elected President, Dayanand Joshi as General Secretary, Gurprasad as Treasurer, Gurvinder Singh as Organizational Secretary, Sikander Singh as Press Secretary, Mangat Ram as Senior Vice-President, Baljinder Singh and Rajinder Mann as Vice-Presidents, and Nanak Singh as Advisor. In addition, Gurdial Singh, Ram Sumer, Baldev Singh, Hemraj, Harjinder Singh, and Gurcharan Ladi were elected as executive members.
The meeting was also attended by Sukhram Kalewal (TMEU) along with members of the Mahila Talmail Sangharsh Committee, including Asha Joshi, Poonam Sharma, Charan Singh, Harjinder Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Kamla Prasad, Raja Ram, Dharam Singh, Gurcharan Singh Kharota, Baljeet Kaur, Surinder Kaur, Harbans Kaur, Swaran Kaur, Mamta, Shakuntala Devi, Soma Devi, Seema Sharma, Anita Joshi, and Charanjit Kaur.
