ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ — ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅੱਜ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੀਬਰ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਪੀ. ਕੇ. ਯਾਦਵ (ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਲਾਅ ਐਂਡ ਆਰਡਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬ) ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਂਭਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਟੂ-ਵੀਲਰ ਅਤੇ ਥਾਰ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਵੀ ਲਈ ਗਈ।
ਐਸਐਸਪੀ ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਲਾਂਭਾ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 38 ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਪੁਆਇੰਟ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੁਆਇੰਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਚ.ਓ., ਚੌਕੀ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਸਬ-ਡਿਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਡੀਐਸਪੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ‘ਤੇ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਰਹੇ, ਜਦਕਿ ਤਿੰਨੋਂ ਐਸਪੀ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ।
ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੋਟਰਸਾਈਕਲਾਂ, ਨੰਬਰ ਪਲੇਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਕਈ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਲਾਨ ਕੱਟੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਪਾਊਂਡ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਕਸਦ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਪੂਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।

Tarn Taran: As per the directions of top officials of the Punjab Police, a special blockade was conducted in Tarn Taran district today and intensive checking of vehicles was conducted. The action was taken by P. K. The action was taken as per the directions of Special DGP (Law and Order, Punjab).
Disclosing this here today, SSP Tarn Taran Surinder Lambha said that a massive blockade has been carried out to strengthen law and order in the district.
Two-wheelers and Thar vehicles were specifically checked by the police. Suspicious vehicles were also intercepted and searched.
According to SSP Surinder Lambha, a total of 38 blockade points were set up in Tarn Taran district. The SHO, outpost in-charge and DSP officers of the sub-division were on duty at these points, while the three SPs continued to monitor the blockade at various places.
During the checking, action was taken against undocumented motorcycles, vehicles running without number plates and vehicles violating traffic rules. Several vehicles were challaned and some vehicles were impounded.
He said that the main objective of this campaign is to strengthen law and order in the district and to instill a sense of security among the common people. Similar special checking drives are going on all over Punjab as well.
