ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਮ ਬਾਗ ਰੋਡ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਹਲਕੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੜਕ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਸੜਕ ’ਤੇ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ-ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਣੇ ਖੱਡਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੰਦਲਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੈਦਲ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੜਕ ’ਤੇ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਇੰਟਰਲਾਕਿੰਗ ਟਾਈਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਕਈ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਟੁੱਟ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਦਸਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਖਤਰਾ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੋਪਹੀਆ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਘਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਣਾ ਵੀ ਔਖਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮੁਹੱਲਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਸੋਨੂੰ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ’ਤੇ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਜਤਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੜਕ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਕਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਮਾੜੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੋਕ ਨਰਕ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਊਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਇਸਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਢੰਗ ਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਲਾਕਾ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰਾਮ ਬਾਗ ਰੋਡ ਦੀ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਕਾਸੀ ਲਈ ਢੁਕਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਜਲਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਾ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

Poor condition of Ram Bagh Road in Morinda; waterlogging even after light rain

The condition of Ram Bagh Road in Morinda city has deteriorated significantly these days. After a recent light rainfall, the road got completely filled with water, badly affecting movement in the area. Dirty water जमा in potholes at multiple spots has created serious inconvenience for pedestrians as well as vehicle drivers.
The interlocking tiles on the road are also broken at many places, increasing the risk of accidents. This situation has become especially dangerous for two-wheeler riders. Residents say that even stepping out of their homes has become difficult.
Local resident Sonu Arora expressed anger over the administration’s functioning, stating that people are forced to live in miserable conditions due to poor road and drainage systems. He added that the issue has been persisting for a long time, but no proper solution has been provided so far.
Residents have demanded that the government and local administration immediately repair Ram Bagh Road and make proper arrangements for water drainage. They warned that if timely action is not taken, the situation may worsen further.
