ਸਾਬਕਾ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਪਰਗਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ’ਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ’ਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਮੌਕਾਪ੍ਰਸਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ (ਐਨਏਐਸ)-2021 ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਯੂ-ਟਰਨ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਹੁਣ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੇਨਕਾਬ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਰਗਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹਰ ਮੁੱਦੇ ’ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੁਖ ਬਦਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਡੇਟਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਜਾਅਲੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹੀ ਡੇਟਾ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਲਾਭ ਦੇਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਿਹਰਾ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ

Former Education Minister and MLA Pargat Singh has accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann of political opportunism on the issue of education, stating that the Aam Aadmi Party’s U-turn politics regarding the National Achievement Survey (NAS)-2021 has now been fully exposed.
In a press note issued here, Pargat Singh said that the same NAS-2021 survey which the Aam Aadmi Party had termed “fake” and “misleading” in 2022 is now being used by the Chief Minister and his government to claim credit for Punjab’s ranking in NITI Aayog’s education index.
He said that at that time, Punjab’s teachers, government schools, and the entire education system were openly defamed. Pargat Singh said that if the NAS-2021 data can now be considered the basis of the government’s achievement, then the Chief Minister must first explain why the same survey was declared false in 2022.
He demanded that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should publicly apologise to Punjab’s teachers and the Education Department.
Pargat Singh said that Punjab had secured the first position in the country in the field of education in NAS-2021, and this achievement was the result of the hard work of teachers, students, and the education system during previous governments.
He added that the much-publicised “Delhi Model” of the Aam Aadmi Party was far behind Punjab’s performance at that time.
Pargat Singh further alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party changes its stand on every issue according to political convenience. He said that when data goes against them, they call it fake, but when the same data starts giving them political advantage, they try to take credit for it.
